Saqueo de Roma el 22 de abril de 455 d.C., por Genserico y los Vándalos.

  

“El presupuesto debe equilibrarse, el tesoro debe ser reaprovisionado, la deuda pública debe ser disminuida, la arrogancia de los funcionarios públicos debe ser moderada y controlada, y la ayuda a otros países debe eliminarse para que Roma no vaya a la bancarrota. La gente debe aprender nuevamente a trabajar, en lugar de vivir a costa del Estado.”

Esta frase fue atribuida al político romano Marco Tulio Cicerón, hace mas de 2.000 años, pero parece ser no era suya. En cualquier caso es muy ilustrativa.

    La diferencia es que ahora se puede constituir un fondo monetario europeo y seguir en una quiebra permanente astutamente sostenida.

    Lo mas divertido que he leido últimamente de Martin Wolf

    “The threat is the public finances of big countries. Since Germany could not force such countries to behave and has no chance of expelling any member it disapproves of from the eurozone, it would have to leave itself. That is the logic of Mr Schäuble’s ideas. This must be obvious to him, too.”

    El fondo monetario europeo es solo una cortina de humo tal y como dice Wolfgang
